UPDATE!!!!🤔Minnesota Barber and Cosmetology Boards Banished‼️#2021

Your Immediate Action Required AGAIN!

Another attempt to deregulate and abolishing the Minnesota Board of Cosmetology and Minnesota Board of Barbers is being considered in the Minnesota House of Representatives!

Please contact your local state representative and other key members NOW and VOICE your opposition to this ill-advised legislation that will seriously jeopardize the health and safety of all Minnesota consumers!

Legislative Bill: HOUSE FILE 554 Description

Local government authorize licensing of facilities for barbering and cosmetology, and barber and cosmetologist state licensing repealed.

Bill Authors:

Bill HF 554 would completely deregulate cosmetology and barber services performed by a person( hairstylist, barbers, estheticians, nail technicians and makeup artist to the local health department.

Its the creation of specialty salons and shops (buildings) licenses offering these barber and cosmetic procedures.

This includes hair salons, barbershops, esthetician spas, nail salons and its managers and masters but also all technicians engaged in this activity anywhere.

It allows the police in the municipal government where your business is located to inspection and fine your businesses.

🗣The 👮‍♀️ POLICE 🚔 ‼️

1. There is no plan for coding or ordinance of these buildings spelled out specifically in this new regulatory agency.

2. There is no fee for the licensing of these cosmetic/barber buildings.

3. Blacks lost most of there real estate and the ventilation requirements may be a hardship for some current land lards and business owners.

🤔 What do you think?

Should buildings have a license and the person performing services NOT?

Should the municipal authorities be in charge of licensing, inspections, and violations of salons and barbershops?

Should Natural Hair Braiding be included in this bill also?
