“Going Green With Hairstyling”

COACHELLA, CA, August 10, 2021– EcoHairBraiders Association, LLC. ®️  (eHBA), privately held certifier of hair braiders, hair braiding schools, and salons on health, safety, and sanitation training, celebrate registering with the Federal Trade Commission, the Department of Justice, and U.S.Trademark and Patent Office as a national natural hair braiding organization specialist of salon infection control certification on August 17, 2021.

eHBA founder, Denise Jarrett, is a beauty business coach, lobbyist, and author of Open Your Salon Today Without a License © Denise and 355 hair braiding members are like many small businesses severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The eHBA used its COVID-19 Response Plan measures to mitigate its spread and remain open.

Denise and hair braiders are dedicating themselves to going green in the salon environment. She offers a 3-hour online course to become certified in natural hair care only, in contrast to the traditional 1500-hour course to receive state licensing in cosmetology. Ms.Jarrett has an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts from St. Paul Technical College.

It allows you to do hairstyling chemical-free, said Ms. Jarrett. Now they [hair braiders] can come from underground and be unicorns.

She was honored in the 2013 Neighborhood Development Coalition NDC Entrepreneur Awards by Minnesota Senator Amy Kobershal, Mayor R.T. RaybackSenator Al Franken, and for best small business plan for eco-friendly hair braiders offering chemical-free personal care services.

The eHBA removed and repealed the inimical cosmetology occupational license by deregulation.

The eHBA discovered health risks prompting intellectual property licensing rights vs. occupational licensing to comply with the Needlestick Safety and Prevention Act in this article on Removing hair braiding license requirements puts Black women at risk.

On August 17, 2021, to commemorate these registrations, the online certificate and ebook will be available for sale (
